Model Workers Assist Enterprises: TCB Chief Engineer Wang Bing Diagnoses Challenges at Northwest Bearing, Signs Technical Assistance Pact
YINCHUAN, Ningxia, Sept. 5, 2025 — The “Model Workers and Master Craftsmen Assisting Enterprises” initiative, hosted by the All-China Federation of Trade Unions and organized by the Ningxia Federation of Trade Unions, was carried out at Northwest Bearing Co., Ltd. (NXZ), a leading western-China bearing manufacturer with a 60-year heritage dating back to the Third Front construction era. Wang Bing, National Model Worker and chief engineer of TCB Bearing Manufacturing Co., Ltd., attended as a core technical expert, joining four other industry specialists from Liaoning, Henan and Shanxi to diagnose the company’s most pressing technical challenges.
A veteran expert in bearing R&D and manufacturing, Wang focused her assistance on two core problems: optimizing critical processes and achieving precise quality control. On site, she addressed real pain points facing the company — operators not yet fully adapted to newly commissioned equipment, difficult adjustment of high-precision machine tools, and unstable production quality — combining her accumulated process-optimization experience with digital production requirements. Through hands-on coaching, she explained parameter-tuning techniques for high-precision bearing machining and rapid troubleshooting of equipment failures, delivering practical solutions that the production lines could adopt immediately.
Under the witness of the Ningxia Federation of Trade Unions, Wang Bing signed a paired technical assistance agreement with Northwest Bearing that day, establishing a long-term cooperation mechanism. She was also appointed a skills-training mentor of the Ningxia Institute of Craftsmen, through which she will continue helping the company cultivate a talent team adapted to intelligent production via online guidance and regular on-site visits.

The cross-regional technical collaboration is a vivid demonstration of the craftsmanship of southern China’s skilled workers, and a practical example of national model-worker resources reaching grassroots manufacturers to support high-quality regional industrial development.
In recent years, the Zhongshan Federation of Trade Unions has actively organized model-worker assistance activities, forming 24 service teams under a “one mechanism, two platforms, three lists” service model with customized enterprise menus. To date, 489 person-visits by model workers have solved 1,037 technical problems, benefiting 1,216 enterprises, with 264 training sessions reaching 9,662 employees and generating an economic benefit of 73.955 million yuan.
